7pm arrival for 7.15pm start.
£65.00 per person
A celebration of how spice is used across the world & how it influences us at The Barrington Boar. We’ll explore global traditions, flavour stories & the cultural role of heat.
Don’t worry; we won’t be blowing anyone’s heads off with overpowering heat.
Canapes
Crispy chilli beef tacos.
Sweet potato & curry leaf croquet.
Vietnamese glass spring roll.
Amuse Bouche
Vadouvan spiced velouté with pickled onions & coriander oil.
Starters
Barbecued lamb shoulder with a harissa glaze, İmam bayıldı & cucumber raita.
Fish
Chalk stream trout sashimi with pickled chilli, blue radish, rhubarb ponzu & garden shiso.
Main
For the table to share:
Charcoal grilled tandoori spiced butter chicken served with coconut sambal, Charlie’s spiced rice, Lunumiris, grilled flat bread & kebab shop salad.
Pudding
Passionfruit tart with mango & chilli salsa, lemon verbena sorbet & Market Garden kaffir lime.
Matching Drinks will be available. The menu is subject to change if specific ingredients are not available.
Please discuss any allergies & dietary requirements with us before booking. Vegetarian menu available but please let us know when booking. We can offer a gluten free menu however we can not accommodate any other dietary requirements. Card details required when booking. If you cancel less that 48 hours before £20 per head will be charged.
Free Corkage Wednesdays
Got a special bottle that you would like to enjoy with a beautiful meal? Then bring it along with you on Wednesdays (lunch or dinner) and don’t pay any corkage fee!

We used to hold many tasting evening events here, but with 2024’s building project and 2025’s exceptionally busy schedule we have slipped out of the habit. 2026 will see a handful of events returning, so keep an eye out for news and further details about upcoming evenings.
